The fine print, plainly written.

This page covers how this website works: the terms of using it, what happens to information you send us, and our commitment to accessibility. Written the way we write everything — to be understood, not to hide behind.

Terms of Use

This website is informational. Nothing on this site is an offer, a quote, or a contractual commitment. All engagements with The Gray Systems — including scope, pricing, delivery, licensing, and warranties — are governed exclusively by separate written agreements executed between the parties. If anything on this site appears to conflict with a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.

Site content. The text, design, and branding on this site belong to The Gray Systems. You're welcome to read, reference, and link to it. Don't republish it as your own or use it to misrepresent a relationship with us.

No warranties on site content. We keep this site accurate and current, but it's provided as-is. Industry practices, standards, and law evolve; the site is a starting point for a conversation, not a substitute for one.

Open-source software. Software we publish under the TGS name — including the tgs-verify manifest verifier on GitHub — is governed by the license published in its own repository, not these site terms.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Florida - United States.

Licence classes

Why this is here. Every TGS delivery ships with a custody manifest, and that manifest names a licence class. The manifest points back to this page so the name resolves to something you can read. What follows defines what each class means. It is not the grant itself — the rights covering any particular delivery are set out in the agreement for that delivery, which controls if anything here reads differently.

Licence classes at a glance. Full terms are set out in the agreement for each delivery.
Class What you may do with it Who else may have it
Evaluation-Only (Samples) Assess quality, fit, and pipeline compatibility. No training or fine-tuning. No redistribution. Sample batches only — not a commercial grant.
Training-Only Train and fine-tune models. The data itself may not be redistributed, resold, or transferred onward. We may license the same data to others.
Non-Exclusive Commercial use under the agreed terms. We may license the same data to others.
Exclusive Commercial use under the agreed terms. No one, for the agreed term and field of use.
Full IP Buyout Ownership of the delivered data transfers to you. No one. We retain no right to license, reuse, or resell that data.
Custom — See Agreement Set out in the agreement covering that delivery. Set out in the agreement covering that delivery.

What every class covers, and what it does not. These classes govern the delivered data. They do not transfer the methods, prompts, configurations, specifications, templates, or pipelines used to produce it. Those remain ours under every class, including Full IP Buyout, and we continue to use them on other work. Where exclusivity is granted, it attaches to the specific data delivered to you — not to a subject, a category, a style, or a technique.

Which version applied. These definitions are dated below. If you need the wording as it stood on the date of a specific delivery, ask through the contact form and we will provide it.

Privacy

What we collect. One thing, and only when you choose to send it: the contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. That's the only information this site collects from you directly. We don't use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies. There is no account system and nothing to sign up for.

What we do with it. Your message is delivered to us by email and used for exactly one purpose: responding to you. We don't sell it, share it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. A conversation starts when you start it.

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These are routine, retained briefly, and not used to profile visitors.

Third parties. Two, and both are infrastructure rather than analytics. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request, as it would on any site using their fonts. The site also sits behind Cloudflare, which routes and protects every request, so Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details before they reach us. Neither is used to profile you, and no visitor data is sold, shared for marketing, or handed to anyone else.

Retention and removal. Messages you send us live in our email for as long as they're relevant to a conversation. If you'd like what you sent us deleted, use the contact form and say so — we'll confirm when it's done.

Questions. Anything about privacy you want answered plainly: ask through the contact form on the main page.

Accessibility

We want this site readable and usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology. It's built with semantic structure, sufficient contrast on a dark palette, keyboard-reachable controls, and reduced-motion support — the hero animation respects your system's motion preferences.

We aim toward WCAG 2.1 AA as our reference standard. If anything on this site is hard to read, reach, or operate with the tools you use, tell us through the contact form — specific reports get specific fixes.

The Gray Systems builds training datasets to specification — synthetic and collected — with documented chain of custody and flexible licensing. Defensible by design.
